Bluebird welcomes new sous chef to the kitchen
The Bluebird is excited to welcome Jessica Stanley to the culinary team as sous chef! She was previously a line cook in the Bluebird kitchen, and she will now work alongside Executive Chef Dylan Morris to make sure every plate that leaves the kitchen is perfect.
Jessica is originally from the Hustonville area, but before coming to the Bluebird, she lived in Louisiana for 15 years and worked in a bakery there. Her time in that region has influenced her style of cooking.
Jessica appreciates the resourcefulness of Louisiana’s cooking style as they turn small amounts of vegetables and meat into delicious meals, and her favorite dish to prepare is gumbo. “There is a lot of creativity that comes with taking something seemingly boring and turning it into a great dish,” she said. “I would love to bring a little bit of Louisiana here and use all of the skills I learned during my time there.”
Chef Dylan also looks forward to adding her Louisiana influence to the Bluebird menu. “Jessica brings new flavors to the Bluebird kitchen, and I’m excited to see what we can make together!” he said. “She is a great team player and will do well in this new role.”
Bluebird customers can expect an updated menu early next year as Chef Dylan and Chef Jessica work together to create new dishes.
